WASHINGTON 鈥� Today, the Department of Justice indicted former FBI Director James Comey, following explicit from President Trump to the U.S. Attorney General. Among the unprecedented circumstances surrounding Comey's indictment include a recent determination by a US attorney that there was 鈥渋nsufficient evidence to charge him,鈥� who was soon after fired.

This indictment is the latest in a series of Trump Administration actions targeting political opponents of the president and exploiting the powers of the federal government to do so.

By firing his previously appointed U.S. Attorney and installing someone who would do his bidding and bring criminal charges at his direction.
