WASHINGTON 鈥� The nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office released a report today on the impact of the Senate鈥檚 health care repeal bill. Under the legislation titled the 鈥淏etter Care Reconciliation Act,鈥� the CBO estimates that 22 million people would lose health insurance by 2026. The legislation would also cut $772 billion in federal funding for Medicaid.

The Senate鈥檚 bill would throw 22 million people of our nation鈥檚 most vulnerable people off of their insurance, block millions of patients from visiting Planned Parenthood, and enact severe cuts to Medicaid that force people with disabilities into institutions. By rushing to pass this cruel legislation, drafted in secret, the Senate endangers the lives and liberty of women, people of color, and people with disabilities. If you are a Senator who has concerns about the impact that health care repeal legislation might have on vulnerable communities, today鈥檚 report should provide you ample reasons to vote no.鈥�
