The Biden administration announced the policy on Jan. 20, and the state of Texas immediately challenged it in court. The ºìÐÓÊÓƵ filed an amicus brief supporting the Biden administration, followed by the motion to intervene.
On Jan. 26, a court granted a temporary restraining order, temporarily blocking the Biden administration.
